Nov 03 – The Lord Is With You!

“Now the Lord was with Jehoshaphat… therefore the Lord established the kingdom in his hand; and all Judah gave presents to Jehoshaphat, and he had riches and honour in abundance.” (2 Chronicles 17:3,5)

Today, many people run after wealth, honour, and prosperity. Yet, no matter how fast they chase them, these blessings often seem to move farther and farther away. Jehoshaphat did not chase after blessings — rather, riches and honour were seeking after him. What was the secret? The Bible gives the answer: the Lord was with Jehoshaphat.

If you desire to be blessed, the Lord must be with you. When He is with you, riches, honour, and glory will follow you. The prophet Azariah declared, “Hear me, all you of Judah and Benjamin: The Lord is with you while you are with Him. If you seek Him, He will be found by you; but if you forsake Him, He will forsake you.” (2 Chronicles 15:2)

Make sure every day that you are walking in fellowship with the Lord. Rise early, kneel before Him, meditate on His Word, and make Him your own. Guard His presence in your life like a precious treasure — never grieve the Holy Spirit, and never allow Him to depart from you.

A person’s greatness does not lie in wealth, influence, education, or wisdom — it lies in the fact that the Lord is with him. The Lord was with David, and he prospered. The Lord was with Noah, and he was preserved from the flood. The Lord was with Enoch, and he was taken away without seeing death.

The Apostle Paul boldly declares, “If God is for us, who can be against us?” (Romans 8:31). Indeed, when the Lord is with us, no enemy can stand before us; no wicked person can prevail against us. Has not the Lord said, “He who touches you, touches the apple of My eye”?

What a glorious testimony — the Lord was with Jehoshaphat! May the world look at you and see that the Lord is with you — that His presence and glory go before you, that the gifts and power of the Spirit dwell in you.

After His resurrection, Jesus was with His disciples — and the world saw it. “And they went out and preached everywhere, the Lord working with them and confirming the word through the accompanying signs.” (Mark 16:20)

Dear child of God, do you sense that the Lord is with you today?
