Nov 28 – KNEE-DEEP EXPERIENCE !
“Again, he measured one thousand and brought me through the waters; the water came up to my knees” (Ezekiel 47:4).
You should not stop with ankle-depth experience; but move on to the next level; to the knee-deep experience. Knee-depth refers to experience of deep prayer life.
The Lord takes His children who delight in the ankle-deep joy of salvation and fullness of Spirit; to the next level; to knee-deep experience. You should not be satisfied with the joy of salvation but also go through the experience of praying with burden for others. The Lord is looking for prayer warriors who will stand on their knees. He expects His children to pray with Him on the knees.
Our Lord Jesus is a great prayer warrior. He used to go the Garden of Gethsemane, with a heavy burden for prayer; and spent hours without end, in fervent prayers. In Luke 22:44, we read that His sweat became like great drops of blood falling down to the ground. That same Lord is asking you today, to stay awake and pray with Him. He also asks, why you can not stand with Him on the knees and pray at least for one hour.
Brothers and sisters who are rejoicing in the ankle-deep spiritual experience, should go forward to knee-deep experience. Those of you who worship the Lord with your songs and dance, you should get into the ministry of praying on your knees. If you need to stand on the strength of your ankles and preach for one hour, you should pray on your knees at least for three hours prior to that.
Al the saints of God, that we read about in the Bible, were dedicated prayer warriors. Even when a statute was passed to stop prayers in the land of Babylon, Daniel knelt down three times a day, and prayed with his windows open toward Jerusalem. He continued with his prayers; unmindful of his accusers; nor was he afraid of being cast into the den of lions. That is why the Lord fought for him and bound the mouth of lions, so they could not harm Daniel.
Stephen was also a zealous prayer warrior. When his adversaries were picking up stones; to stone him to death, he knelt down and prayed. He gazed into heaven and saw the glory of god, and Jesus standing at the right hand of God. Children of God, the Lord has kept open the gates of grace; and has granted us the anointing of praying in spirit and in truth.
Verse for further meditation: “Oh come, let us worship and bow down; let us kneel before the Lord our Maker” (Psalm 95:6).
