Nov 05 – RIVER OF GOD !

You provide their grain, for so You have prepared it” (Psalm 65:9).

Out of the whole world, God has chosen us, as the beautiful garden for Himself. We are the vineyard where our Lord strolls around. And we rejoice whenever we hear the voice of our Lord.

When God created the Garden of Eden, He gave a responsibility to man and also took another responsibility upon Himself. What was the duty of man? The Scripture says; “The Lord God took the man and put him in the garden of Eden to tend and keep it” (Genesis 2:15). And the commitment of God was to visit and water the earth; to greatly enrich it with the river of God which is full of water (Psalm 65:9).

It was the duty of man to tend and keep the garden and God committed Himself to make it fertile and enrich it. You should never leave your heart as a fallow land but should keep it tilled and cultivated as per the word of God.

You should remove all the weeds such as anger, irritation from your garden and keep it clean. You should remove your iniquities, which are like small stones or splinters that prevent you from absorbing the word of God. You should make all arrangements for the river of God to flow freely inside of you. And the river of God will make your family and spiritual life very fertile and prosperous.

You will inherit many glorious inheritances when you enter into the Christian way of living. There are also many promises of prosperity. You also have the ever-abiding presence of God. Along with David you can also say; that the Lord has brought you out to a rich fulfilment.

Compared to the people of this world, the Lord has bestowed with abundant and rich inheritances. All this is possible only because the river of God – the Holy Spirit is in you. The Holy Spirit grants you refreshing of your soul, joyfulness of your heart, strength and prosperity. There could be no comparison to a life filled with the Holy Spirit.

The prosperity of spirit depends on the Holy Spirit. The gifts and the fruits of the Spirit, operate from out of that richness. Nothing could be more excellent than the richness of the Spirit in a person? Children of God, always be filled with the Holy Spirit to have rich fulfilment. The Scripture says; “They will bear fruit every month, because their water flows from the sanctuary” (Ezekiel 47:12).

Verse for further meditation: “Nevertheless, He did not leave Himself without witness, in that He did good, gave us rain from heaven and fruitful seasons, filling our hearts with food and gladness” (Acts 14:17).
