Mar 23 – HE KNOWS !
“And the LORD said: “I have surely seen the oppression of My people who are in Egypt, and have heard their cry because of their taskmasters, for I know their sorrows” (Exodus 3:7).
The Lord knows all your sorrows and distresses. Your own father may not know the path that you are going through in your life. Your mother may not fully understand your ways. Even the whole world may fail to understand you. But the Lord tells you lovingly: “My son, My daughter, I know you”.
The Israelites suffered severe oppression in their bondage in Egypt, and cried out to God. That cry melted the Lord’s heart. The Lord immediately raised up Moses, and performed great signs and wonders in the land of Egypt. He brought about a great destruction in Egypt and destroyed all the firstborn. He also made the hearts of Egyptians melt, so the Israelites got their precious jewels as a stolen treasure. And they marched victoriously towards Canaan, the land flowing with milk and honey.
Today are you in some sort of bondage, in your office or work-place, under unreasonable task masters? Do you have to take harsh words and false accusations that cause more damage than the whip-lashes? According to Exodus 2:25, which says: “God looked upon the children of Israel, and God acknowledged them”, be assured that God knows your paths and all your sufferings.
The Scripture says: “cast all your care upon Him, for He cares for you” (1 Peter 5:7). He is so deeply concerned about you and He cares for you. As you humble yourselves in the mighty hand of God, He will surely exalt you in due time.
In the letters that we receive at our office, the children of God write to us with so much grief about their sorrows, distresses, trials and tribulations. And we go through each one of them carefully and try to understand their issues and pray for them. But our God knows much more about each one of these issues. And prayers from a tearful heart, will surely be answered.
Children of God, please remember that you remain steadfast on the strong foundation of Lord Jesus. Therefore, do not fear, for the Lord who cares for you will open a new way for you. He knows all your sorrows and distresses.
Verse for further meditation: “Nevertheless the solid foundation of God stands, having this seal: “The Lord knows those who are His,” and, “Let everyone who names the name of Christ depart from iniquity” (2 Timothy 2:19).
