Mar 18 – HE GAVE HIS SON !
“He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things?” (Romans 8:32).
Our Lord generously grants all the good things. He is the source of all our blessings, and the fountain of all good things. He is the mountain from which I receive help. He is the One who thinks of us in our lowly state.
He has granted everything to us generously when He created the world. And on top of all of that, He granted His own Son, as the greatest gift. We can never describe all the great blessings that we receive through His Son Jesus. In Christ, we have all the promises, divine healing, divine character, greatness, glory and honour.
Lord Jesus gave Himself up for us, on the Cross, to redeem us and to grant us everlasting life. Will you not thank Him from the bottom of your hearts? “The Lord Jesus on the same night in which He was betrayed took bread; and when He had given thanks, He broke it and said, “Take, eat; this is My body which is broken for you; do this in remembrance of Me.” In the same manner He also took the cup after supper, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in My blood. This do, as often as you drink it, in remembrance of Me” (1 Corinthians 11:23-25).
Father God, gave up His own Son, Jesus Christ for our sakes. And Lord Jesus, gave His own life, flesh and blood on the Cross because of His great love for us.
What is the reason for giving all the good things and for generously granting all the blessings? It is because of His great love for you. The Scripture tells us: “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life” (John 3:16).
Children of God, there is a great rejoicing in our hearts, just in uttering His great Name! He has assured: “Whatever you ask in My name, that I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son”.
Our Lord Jesus, who was crucified at Calvary, for your sins, will perfect all that which concerns you. Even today, He is standing at the right hand of the Father, interceding for you, as He is your compassionate High Priest, who sympathizes with your weaknesses.
Verse for further meditation: “ But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name” (John 1:12).
