Sep 23 – PLANTS AND BRANCHES!
“I am the vine; you are the branches. He who abides in me, and I in him, bears much fruit” (John 15:5).
God is the vine and you are the branches. Think about how sweet and inseparable, the relationship between you and God should be! Will not the branches get withered, if they get detached from the stem?
Do you know what the relationship between a stem and the branches is? The stem of the plant will always be giving and the branches will always be receiving. The essence, sweetness, nutrients and water get descended into the branch through the stem. The branches always keep open the thousands of pores in them to receive these from the stem. The vital factors enter the branch from the stem and enable the branches to yield fruits.
May you also keep open all your minute openings towards heaven. It will pave the way for the strength of the Most High to keep descending on you. This will enable you to say, “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me”. Let the wisdom of God keep on descending on you. Only then you will be able to speak the divine secrets with the divine wisdom. Let the grace be descending on you always. Only then you will receive grace after grace. Let the glory be bestowed upon you always. Only then you will receive glory after glory.
Jesus says, “I am the vine; you are the branches. He who abides in me and I in him…” How essential it is for you to abide in Him! All the greatness and glory will be with you only when you are abiding by Him. We find many servants of God facing a slide in their ministry for the only reason that they do not abide in Christ.
A leaf wears a beautiful green look when is attached to the tree. Once it is detached from the tree, it withers in a short while. How essential it is for you to abide in Christ!
Only when the branch is intact with the stem, it obtains the sweet nature of yielding fruits. That fruit remains a useful one for many lives. Dear children of God, you have been called to give fruits for God. God expects fruits from you. You have to give sweet fruits in big quantities.
To meditate: “These things I have spoken to you, that my joy may remain in you, and that your joy may be full” (John 15:11).
