AUG 27 – LIGHT OF GOD’S COUNTENANCE!
“There are many who say, “Who will show us any good?” Lord, lift up the light of your countenance upon us” (Psalms 4:6).
We have a God who gives all good things to us perfectly. We do not need to lament like the worldly people saying, “Who will show us any good?”
God remains as a shepherd to you. Since you are his sheep, you never lack anything. You will never be humbled. Jeremiah the prophet says, “But the Lord is the true God; He is the living God and the everlasting King” (Jeremiah 10:10).
Blessed are those, who have God as their refuge, those who taste His love, those who walk in His ways perfectly and those who get brightened by the light of the face of God. The Scripture says, “They shall call the peoples to the mountain; there they shall offer sacrifices of righteousness; for they shall partake of the abundance of the seas and treasures hidden in the sand” (Deut. 33:19).
God who feeds His children to satisfaction, is the one who will give the abundance of the seas with the blessings of the earth. He also allows people to partake in the treasures hidden in the sand. He has hidden them from the people of the world but gives them to His children graciously.
Most of the inventions made in the 19th and 20th centuries were by Christian scientists. They were Godly people and when they prayerfully sought God’s help, He revealed to them the hidden things. When one places his faith in Him and when one seeks from Him open-heartedly, God gives immeasurably from the treasures of knowledge and wisdom and blesses you.
In the world, the scientists of America were the first to travel to the moon in a rocket and to set foot there. Those astronauts did not forget to take the Bible with them to space. That is why God gave them undiminishing fame in history.
Dear children of God, are you lacking in wisdom, knowledge and prudence? Look up to God today. The Scripture says, “If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him” (James 1:5).
To meditate: “But let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing” (James 1:4).
