AUG 22 – GO IN THIS MIGHT OF YOURS!

“Go in this might of yours, and you shall save Israel from the hand of the Midianites. Have I not sent you?” (Judges 6:14).

What is the powerful promise given by God of gods, Lord of hosts and the strength of Israel? It is nothing but “Go in this might of yours.” Yes. Depart and go in the name of Jesus Christ. God accompanies you. His presence and power come with you. Your days of waiting are coming to an end.

Today, many people are in frustration. One day, even Gideon was sitting in such frustration. The reason is that Midianites, their enemies, were ruling them. Whatever they do, they always had to do with the fear upon their enemies. Gideon was frustrated with the feeling, “If God is with us, why should we be in such a plight? Where is that wonderful God, defined by our forefathers?”

Problems and weariness will come up in your life too. Indeed there are tribulations for you in this world. God is not one to push you into tribulations forever. Even if He forsakes for a mere moment, He is the one to gather you with great mercies. When Gideon was in fear, God strengthened him by calling him as “You mighty man of valour.” When Gideon was worried about lack of power and strength, God said to him, “Go in this might of yours.”

One of the biggest tricks of satan is to bind the people with the spirit of fear. Fear about situations; fear about problems; fear about future. By threatening further and further, he makes the God’s people inactive. The Scripture says, “For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind” (II Timothy 1:7).

Do not feel weary about your weakness. Never give room to inferiority complex by pondering over your shortfalls. Look up to God. How strong He is! He loves you and is one to strengthen you. Yes. You shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you (Acts 1:8).

Dear children of God, the Word of God, which is spirit and life will surely strengthen your spirit, soul and body. Paul, the apostle said, “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me” (Philippians 4:13). Is it not?

To meditate: “I know your works. See, I have set before you an open door, and no one can shut it; for you have a little strength, have kept my word, and have not denied my name” (Revelations 3:8).
