Jan 7 – COVENANT OF PEACE!

“But my kindness shall not depart from you, nor shall my covenant of peace be removed,”says the Lord, who has mercy on you” (Isaiah 54:10).

The mountains depart, and the hills get uprooted. All those persons on whom you placed strong hope that they will come for your rescue, have moved away from you. All those whom you trust that they will stand firm like hills beside you have washed their hands off and have left you alone.

But God says, “For the mountains shall depart and the hills get removed, but my kindness shall not depart from you, nor shall my covenant of peace be removed” (Isaiah 54:10). The peace God gives you is an unchanging one. Let that peace fill your heart. The feeling that God is with you alone will bring that peace to you.

Jesus said, “Peace I leave with you, my peace I give to you” (John 14:27). Protect the peace always so that the covenant of peace made with God is intact. You may ask how to protect peace. Yes. Firstly, your heart should be in peace with God. In your lifetime, you should not admit anything which may spoil the peace.

Never admit the sins in your life. Whenever sins enter you, submit yourself to the presence of God, get washed in the blood of God and get yourselfcleansed. Jesus Christ looked at the inhabitants of Jerusalem and said, “If you had known, even you, especially in this your day, the things that make for your peace” (Luke 19:42).

When you are in peace with God, divine peace fills your heart. The peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will rule your hearts. The Scripture says, “For He, Himself is our peace, who has made both one, and has broken down the middle wall of separation,…thus making peace….reconcile them both to God” (Ephesians 2:14, 15, 16).

Dear children of God, hold the promises of God firmly. Pray for peace and say, “Prince of peace, give peace to the family.” May divine peace fill your heart right now!

To meditate: “and by Him to reconcile all things to Himself, by Him, whether things on earth or things in heaven, having made peace through the blood of His cross” (Colossians 1:20).
