Jan 6 – BLESSINGS OF JOY!

“Delight yourself also in the Lord and He shall give you the desires of your heart” (Psalm 37:4).

The blessings will be countless if you are happy and rejoicing with God. King David points out an important one among them and says, “He shall give you the desires of your heart.”

The first thing you have to do is to pray when you want someone in your family to be saved. Keep on praying until the hope that He will surely save arises in your heart. After praying, praise Him with all happiness. Look at His golden face and say with a smiling face, “My loving Saviour, thank you as you are going to bring my husband and children into Salvation and as you are going to make them holy.”

Your happiness shows your level of faith. The sound of praise, you raise from the bottom of your heart reveals the love you have upon God. Your smiling face indicates that you are resting on His bosom, after placing all your burden on Him.

Many people fail to receive blessings because of murmuring. You should never go to His presence with murmuring. The Psalmist says, “Delight yourself also in the Lord, and He shall give you the desires of your heart” (Psalm 37:4). Yes. Placing the burden on God and praising Him with joy will surely bring the miracle.

Agustin is a world-known devotee, and in his youth stage, he did not know God and was leading a wandering and an aimless life. His mother had been praying for his Salvation for years together. Once, when he planned to go to Rome, his mother was very much worried, and with tears, she prayed to God to stop him from going to Rome. But somehow he succeeded in going to Rome. The mother did not know what to do, and she placed the burden on God and praised Him. God performed the miracle.

The son who visited Rome came in contact with a man of God, and he guided that son towards God. Subsequently, he became a great servant of God. Though God did not answer the prayer of stopping him from going to Rome, He fulfilled the desire of the mother. Dear children of God, submit yourself to the will of God and rejoice in Him.

To meditate: “My soul shall make its boast in the Lord; the humble shall hear of it and be glad” (Psalm 34:2).
