Dec 6 – FAITH!
“…let us run with endurance the race that is set before us looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith” (Hebrews 12:1, 2).
Jesus Christ alone is the author of faith. If sufficient labour force and the associated materials are not available, it is not possible to carry out the job proposed.
The immediate requirement to commence a construction project is the labour force. Further, the raw materials like bricks, cement, steel rods, sand etc. are also very much essential. No work could start without these materials.
When God wanted to commence the life of man, He placed the bones, nerves, flesh and skin in him. He gave the man, beauty, knowledge and love. He kept the soul and spirit in Him. Not only that. He also commenced the faith in him with which man maintained a relationship with God. The man moved like a friend with God as he had faith. It is this faith which enabled man to grow in his spiritual life.
Even today, God authors the faith within you. When a person listens to a powerful message, the faith, that Jesus Christ alone is the way for the sins to be forgiven, secretes within him. The belief that Jesus never casts out those who come to Him comes into him. Salvation, Baptism, Anointment, Holy life, Victorious life and Triumph over Satan are received by you through faith.
God has given you the five senses for you to believe the worldly factors. The organs related to the five senses eye, ear, nose, mouth and skin make you place your belief over the things in the world. You believe that the water will come out when the tap opens and the lamps will begin to burn once the switches are, put on.
But the great faith within you is the one placed by Jesus Christ. It is the one which provides you with heavenly blessings. It remains as the sixth sense. But this sixth sense helps you establish contact with the heavenly home.
Dear children, He who authors the faith in you does not stop with that. He makes the faith to grow in you. He makes you powerful in faith. He also helps you to finish the faith with all success.
To meditate: “But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him” (Hebrews 11:6).
